SoundCloud launches DJ software integration with Pioneer DJ
Premium subscribers can now instantly access SoundCloud’s catalog with the WeDJ app.
Users with a SoundCloud Go+ subscription are now able to stream and mix more than 200 million songs from SoundCloud’s catalog through Pioneer DJ’s WeDJ app, Music Business Worldwide reports. It’s part of the audio platform’s ongoing strategy to provide integration with DJ performance software. In December, SoundCloud launched integration with Serato DJ, and plans to do the same with Native Instruments (the makers of Traktor), Virtual DJ, Mixvibes and more.
A SoundCloud Go+ subscription starts at $9.99/month. It is still unclear how integration will impact creators and artists who upload their work onto SoundCloud.
Yesterday, Beatport also announced integration with Pioneer DJ’s WeDJ app through a beta service called Beatport LINK.
